The 'stacks of paper' evoke terms such as fragility and impermanence, as well as regeneration. Each paper stack work consists of printed photographic images (such as “Untitled”, 1992/1993), newspaper clippings, text, or a specific design. Once again, an audience can interact with the work by choosing to take a sheet with them. Each sheet taken gathers diverse meanings and interpretations depending on their new context (or not, if the visitor does not choose to engage).
