Painting pays tribute to Kazimir Malevich (1879-1935) and constructivism. In this silent video of about 11 minutes, the artist places colourful shapes on to a white surface. He 'performs' the art of painting in his artist's studio. Throughout the video, he introduces, distorts and shifts shapes and colours, creating new compositions each time. Each of the 'paintings' could have been created by Malevich himself, as it were. In this video, he goed in search for the pure painting, detached from any form of representation or context.
