Laia Estruch mène depuis plusieurs années une recherche approfondie sur le langage corporel et la voix, en quête de nouvelles méthodes de parole et d’écoute. Pour ce faire, elle habite des structures qu’elle a elle-même conçues et elle les utilise comme support pour ses performances. L’installation monumentale Trena constitue son projet le plus ambitieux à ce jour. L’œuvre a été présentée pour la première fois à l’été 2023 dans la Sala Oval du Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya (MNAC) à Barcelone.
