Małgorzata Mirga-Tas est une artiste et activiste rom originaire de Pologne. Les Roms, un peuple nomade à l’origine, représentent 1 à 2 % de la population européenne. Dans son art, Małgorzata Mirga-Tas tente de capturer l’identité transnationale du peuple rom. Elle utilise essentiellement le textile, qu’elle travaille pour célébrer l’identité rom d’un point de vue féminin et combattre les préjugés.
