Małgorzata Mirga-Tas is a Roma artist and activist from Poland. Roma are an originally nomadic people who make up one to two percent of Europe's population. In her art, she seeks to capture the Roma’s transnational identity. Małgorzata Mirga-Tas works mainly with textiles to celebrate the Roma identity from a female perspective, stripping it of prejudices.
